Our team at Richardson Media was hired to showcase the philanthropic endeavors of Three Rivers Casino Resort and its Foundation. Over the past few years, 
the Three Rivers Foundation has made a substantial impact by distributing millions of dollars in grants to local nonprofits. 

Through strategic media pitching efforts to Oregon's television stations, news outlets, and social media platforms, we secured widespread visibility for this impactful initiative. Our tailored approach ensured coverage in numerous TV, radio, and print publications, allowing a diverse audience to learn about and support the commendable work facilitated by the Three Rivers Foundation.

THE GOAL

Our team was tasked with spotlighting the distribution of over $720,000 in grants to nearly 100 local nonprofits by the Three Rivers Foundation. 

We began by identifying the impactful stories behind these grants and the lives they would transform. Crafting a compelling press release, we featured quotes and narratives from the nonprofits who would be making a difference with the funding awarded to them by the foundation. Additionally, we curated a digital media kit complete with b-roll footage, interviews, and images for journalists to enhance their reporting. Personalized outreach to reporters included tailored messages to foster connections and interest in the story. 

Throughout the campaign, we continually followed up with journalists, ensuring ongoing engagement and encouraging them to share these impactful stories with their audiences.

THE RESULTS

After weeks of pitching and collaboration with journalists, we successfully secured coverage of the foundation's story in 14 print media outlets, 9 television spots, and 10 additional placements.

Each publication found a unique angle to share the story across their social media platforms, effectively engaging a broader audience. Several gaming publications also highlighted the impact of the grants. 

One television station extended the story's reach by airing different interviews throughout the week, leveraging the content we strategically provided.

The Three Rivers Foundation [needed help to] increase the number of applications it received. This

required the Foundation to get in front of groups and organizations as we were just getting the word out that the

foundation grant cycle was open, more than doubling our applications. We cannot thank them enough for

all the help we have received, and we now use Richardson Media for all our media needs.
